Job Description:
Job Description Job Description We are looking for a highly
skilled Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in
New Orleans, Louisiana. This role involves managing essential
accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and
supporting process efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring
expertise in general ledger management, month-end closings, and
financial analysis. Responsibilities: • Manage month-end close
processes, including preparing journal entries and reconciling
accounts. • Oversee the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and
compliance with accounting standards. • Perform detailed account
and bank reconciliations to maintain financial integrity. •
Generate and analyze financial reports to support decision-making
processes. • Address and resolve post-implementation issues related
to Epicor ERP systems. • Document and improve business processes to
enhance operational efficiency. • Align workflows and support
preparation for organizational rollouts. • Conduct ad-hoc reporting
and variance analysis as needed. • Collaborate with leadership to
maintain stable reporting and operational functions. • Communicate
effectively with executives, team leaders, and financial
professionals to ensure alignment.• Bachelor’s degree in Business,
Accounting, or Finance preferred but not required. • At least five
years of experience in accounting roles within the industry. •
Proficiency in financial systems, with experience in Epicor ERP or
similar platforms. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including
formulas, pivots, and lookups. • Strong analytical skills with a
solid understanding of mathematical and statistical principles. •
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. • Ability to
multitask and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment. •
Prior experience in financial reporting, journal entries, and
reconciliations.
