Job Description CHIEF ESTIMATOR / ESTIMATING LEAD — Gulf South Roofing LLC We need a sharp, driven Estimator ready to own the bid process, protect margins, mentor a junior estimator, and help improve how we price and track our work. If you like precision, leadership, and growth, you’ll fit here. Key Responsibilities: ? Lead estimating for commercial roofing and related projects ? Own bid strategy, quantity takeoffs, and proposal development ? Work closely with Project Managers to ensure seamless handoffs ? Mentor and develop our junior estimator (currently learning fast) ? Analyze job costs, support margin protection, track financial performance ? Improve estimating processes, tools, and templates as part of system growth ? Assist in building client relationships and growing the pipeline You’ll Thrive Here If You: ? Have 5 years in construction estimating — roofing highly preferred ? Are detail-oriented, disciplined, and margin-conscious ? Like mentoring — helping others grow makes the whole team stronger ? Understand job costing, profit protection, and operational handoffs ?
