Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Master's degree in
Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of
Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A
school-based Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is
available working with elementary-aged students (Kindergarten
through 5th grade) in Semmes, AL. This contract position runs from
mid-March 2026 through the end of May 2026, with potential for
assignments at multiple elementary schools within the district. The
role requires providing direct speech and language therapy services
to support students communication development in an educational
setting. Key Responsibilities: Deliver individualized
speech-language therapy interventions for K-5 students Collaborate
with educators and school staff to support student progress Conduct
assessments and document student performance and therapy outcomes
Develop and implement treatment plans that meet educational and
communication goals Maintain compliance with professional standards
and school policies Qualifications: Certification as a Speech
Language Pathologist (CCC) or equivalent Valid professional license
or educator certification for speech-language pathology (a minimum
of one required) Experience working with elementary school-aged
children preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work onsite as required during the contract period
Location: Primary placement at an elementary school within the
Mobile County School District (specific campus in Prichard, AL)
Additional assignments may be determined with locations to be
confirmed Schedule & Duration: Approximately 35 hours per week
Contract duration: March 15, 2026 May 29, 2026, with potential
earlier start date for some assignments This position offers a
