Job Description:

We have partnered with a leading industrial manufacturer in the Greater New Orleans area that is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and strengthen its safety and environmental compliance programs. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving regulatory compliance, fostering a proactive safety culture, and ensuring environmental stewardship across manufacturing operations. The position offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package, as well as, long-term growth potential within a stable industrial environment. Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, LDEQ, Parish, Municipal). Manage environmental programs, including waste, air emissions, and wastewater reporting. Develop and enforce safety programs (LOTO, Powered Industrial Trucks, PPE, etc.). Conduct site audits, risk assessments, and safety inspections. Lead incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA). Implement corrective and preventive actions. Develop and deliver safety training programs. Lead emergency response planning and drills. Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field. 5–6 years of EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial environments. CSP designation and FA/CPR/AED or EMT certifications are highly preferred Strong working knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations. Experience managing audits, reporting, and regulatory submissions. Strong communication and leadership skills.
