  • Job Details
  • The Seasonal Physical Therapist is responsible for the implementation of the physician's order for physical therapy services.
  • Provide all necessary aspects of physical therapy within an interdisciplinary environment to facilitate patient return to an independent and safe lifestyle.
  • Utilize growth and development knowledge base in care of pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care.
  • Assess data reflective of patient's status to identify age-specific needs and provide appropriate care.
    • Job Requirements
    • Able to perform patient evaluations using appropriate functional tests and measures.
    • Ability to assimilate objective measures with social factors, medical stability, activity restrictions, participation limitations, and comorbidities to determine functional deficits.
    • Construct short term, long term, and personal/family goals with appropriate frequency and duration to establish therapy diagnosis and plan of care.
    • Demonstrate ability to tolerate physically demanding tasks including moving equipment and patients using safety measures.
    • Demonstrate proper, secure documentation in the Electronic Medical Record.
    • Use critical thinking in patient evaluation and treatment planning.
    • Understand moist heat and other physical agent modalities as applied to each area of practice.
    • Utilize age-specific patient care indicators as necessary per plan of care.
    • Understand musculoskeletal, nervous, and integumentary systems utilizing age-specific patient care indicators.
    • Identify learning needs of patient or family members.
    • Work as a team member to assist patient/family at all points of entry into acute therapy care system.
