Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 08:30 Experience: Minimum 3 years in Operating Room, specifically as a circulator License: Compact or state license required upon submission Certifications: AHA certifications required, AWHONN Intermediate for L&D Must-Have: - EPIC experience required - Proficiency in neuro, ortho, ophthalmology, ENT, and specialty cases - On-call requirement - Unit does not accept first-time travelers Description: You are being considered for a position in an area commonly impacted by hurricanes. The hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30, but storms may occur outside this timeframe. Upon accepting an assignment, your unit manager may assign you to an "Emergency Team." There will be an expectation to stay at the facility until after the storm passes or be part of the relief team. Specific details about pay will be communicated for each storm as impacts vary. By signing your travel contract, you accept the conditions and will report as assigned by your immediate unit manager during a storm. You should not apply during the hurricane season if you are not comfortable with these expectations. The unit requires a minimum of three years of operating room circulator experience. You must be highly proficient in circulating orthopedic, ophthalmology, ENT, pediatric, and other specialty cases. References are not required for submission, but two manager or supervisor references will be necessary for clearance to start the contract. Resources who worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must be separated for one full year before they can return as a traveler.
