Overview: The Physical Therapist is responsible for delivering
medically prescribed physical therapy services to individuals
experiencing movement issues and pain within an acute inpatient
rehabilitation environment. Key duties encompass patient
evaluations, the formulation of care plans, implementation of
therapy interventions, education for patients and their families,
and coordination of discharge processes. This position necessitates
a valid state license, certification in basic life support, and
involves physical tasks such as lifting, standing, and assisting

5:30 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM for three 8-hour shifts Weekend
shifts: 24 hours scheduled every weekend Physical Therapists rotate
holiday coverage when holidays fall on weekdays Work in an acute
care setting with an 11-bed inpatient rehabilitation department
Compensation Range: $37.60 - $56.40 Pay Rate Type: Hourly Our

Summary: The Physical Therapist evaluates and implements medically
prescribed treatment programs aimed at addressing movement
dysfunction and pain stemming from injuries, illnesses,
disabilities, or other health-related issues. Key Responsibilities
and Qualifications: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Conducts initial and
ongoing assessments of patients' conditions. Develops, updates, and
assesses care plans tailored to identified issues, involving
patients and their families. Executes therapy interventions using
standard physical therapy techniques appropriate for each patient's
condition. Educates patients, families, and staff by evaluating
educational needs. Ensures continuity of care by engaging in
discharge planning with patients, families, and other healthcare
professionals, providing home care instructions, recommending
necessary equipment or modifications, and suggesting follow-up care
as needed. Supervises the activities of physical therapy
assistants, students, and other support staff. Maintains accurate
documentation detailing patient responses to therapy and the
necessity for skilled interventions as required by regulatory
standards. Operates in a state of alertness and safety. Performs
additional duties as assigned. EDUCATION Bachelor's, Master's, or
Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy or a related field necessary
for state licensure. EXPERIENCE No prior experience is required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Constantly standing. Frequent lifting,
carrying, and pushing/pulling objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
Regular use of hearing and speech for effective communication.
Frequent auditory monitoring for body sounds and alarms. Regular
visual acuity for both near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or
more). Frequent walking, reaching, gripping, and data entry.
Occasional bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, sitting,
squatting, twisting, and repetitive movements of the legs and arms.
Occasional lifting and moving of objects weighing between 25-50
lbs. Occasional patient handling. Occasional visual assessment for
distance and color differentiation. Occasional driving. Rarely
crawling. REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL LICENSE AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
Resuscitation Certification: Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
(BLS HCP) certification is required within 90 days of employment.
Additional resuscitation certifications may be necessary based on
