Registered Nurse (RN) | Home Health Location: Metairie, LA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,084 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/2/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Home Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum 1 full year Adult Home Health Experience or 1 full year Hospice experience License: Must have a valid nursing license in hand Certifications: CPR, BLS Must-Have: Recent experience in home health nursing Proficiency in OASIS and HomeCare HomeBase EMR Description: Provides coordinated and directed home nursing care according to physicians' orders. Care is based on agency policies and procedures through the competent application of the nursing process. Responsible for supervising and evaluating Home Health Aides and Licensed Practical Nurses. Home visits and attendance at periodic office meetings are required. Candidates must have reliable transportation, a current driver's license, and agency-required liability insurance. Average number of patients seen per day is 5-8. Each type of visit and activity will have different point values assigned. Contractors will be assigned 5-10 patients per day, equating to roughly 6-8 points. No guaranteed hours; if patient census is low, there may be an opportunity to float to another nearby clinic. Types of cases include Start of Care, Wound Care, Follow-up Visits, and others. Candidates must have current hand proficiency in OASIS and HomeCare HomeBase. Mileage will be reimbursed at the IRS standard rate. Local candidates are accepted at the same rate. This assignment will involve traveling up to 75 miles for patient visits. Documentation must be completed within 24 hours of the appointment. Delayed or incomplete documentation may lead to cancellation of the assignment. Candidates must accept all assigned patients regardless of distance from previous appointments. On-call requirements vary by location and must be discussed during the interview.
