Job Description Job Description Nurse Practitioner – Orthopedic Surgery Mississippi Orthopaedic Institute Location: Biloxi, MS Mississippi Orthopaedic Institute is seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our orthopedic surgery team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced NP with a strong interest in orthopedic and joint replacement surgery to work closely with a highly respected orthopedic surgeon and deliver exceptional patient care. Position Overview The Nurse Practitioner will support all aspects of orthopedic surgical care, from pre-operative evaluations through post-operative follow-ups. This role requires strong clinical expertise, physical strength and stamina , and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced surgical environment. Key Responsibilities Assist in orthopedic and joint replacement surgeries Conduct pre-operative and post-operative patient evaluations Develop and manage patient treatment and recovery plans Educate patients and families on procedures, post-operative care, and recovery expectations Collaborate closely with the orthopedic surgeon and clinical team to ensure high-quality outcomes Qualifications Current Nurse Practitioner certification (NCCPA or equivalent) Prior experience in orthopedics and joint replacement surgery required Physically strong applicants only — must be able to assist in surgical procedures and perform physically demanding clinical duties Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with patient positioning and surgical support Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment What We Offer Competitive salary Comprehensive benefits package Opportunities for professional growth and development Work alongside an experienced orthopedic surgeon with 25 years of practice Supportive, patient-focused work environment
