Job Description Hello, A Critical Access Hospital in Dickinson, North Dakota is seeking Locum Pediatric coverage for their Labor & Delivery, Pediatrics Unit, and Level II Nursery , with immediate February coverage and ongoing needs throughout 2026 . Coverage Needs: February: 2nd or 3rd week of February Ongoing: 7 days per month throughout 2026 Average Callback: ~ 4.7 hours Practice Setting: Critical Access Hospital Level II Nursery Labor & Delivery / Pediatrics Unit EMR: Meditech Clinical Responsibilities: Attend vaginal deliveries (as requested) Attend scheduled and emergent C-sections Admit/discharge newborns Admit and manage pediatric patients Perform circumcisions Required Procedures: Circumcisions Newborn resuscitation Intubations Umbilical venous catheter (UVC) placement Lumbar punctures Patient Volume: Average 2–3 admissions per day Generally do not deliver if avoidable Transfers to Bismarck, ND (CHI St. Alexius or Sanford Health) when needed Support & Resources: Experienced nursing team Level II nursery nurses OB/GYNs, anesthesia, respiratory therapists Local pediatricians available for consult NICU support in Bismarck (90 miles) Credentialing: Emergency privileges available Position is in lieu of an enrolled provider ( ND license or IMLC required Submission Requirements (ALL REQUIRED): ND License or IMLC ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP Clean malpractice history Availability at time of name clear Self-Query NPDB (pulled within 30 days) Board Certified/Board Eligible highly preferred Travel: Air travel approved Preferred hotel accommodations Travel details (departure city, lodging needs) must be noted at submission This is a great opportunity for providers seeking consistent newborn and pediatric coverage in a well-supported rural setting with strong regional collaboration.
