Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: New Orleans, LA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,011 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 6 Weeks Start Date: 4/6/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 6 months Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty License: Compact or LA license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Epic experience required Description: The position involves caring for patients with various critical conditions. Patient diagnoses include cardiogenic shock, decompensated heart failure, STEMI/NSTEMI, post-cardiac arrest, TAVR, pulmonary hypertension, and pulmonary embolism. The unit handles high acuity heart failure cases. Provided care includes pericardial drains, targeted temperature management, and pacemaker placement. Special equipment used includes PA catheters, IABP, Impella, transvenous pacemakers, CRRT, EKOS catheters, and CADD pumps for remodulin infusion. Patient ratios are typically 1:2. There is a float requirement to other ICUs and SDUs. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary. Candidates must be prepared for a challenging yet rewarding experience in a fast-paced environment.
