THIS IS A PRN Position Position Occupational Therapy Assistant Summary Under supervision of a Occupational Therapist and in accordance with agency policies, gives medically prescribed therapy. Participates in the development of the occupational therapy program. Functions require special skills and knowledge of public health principles and practices. Each client visit will be documented on the appropriate clinical or progress note. Essential Duties Performs Occupation Therapy procedures on clients based on the evaluating OT’s plan of care. Teaches appropriate treatment procedures and supportive activities to client and family members as delegated and supervised by the therapist. Translates all exercises into functional activities or activities of daily living. Provides recommendation and instruction on home modifications, adaptive equipment or medical equipment Communicates with the Occupational Therapist regarding client’s progress.
