This opportunity located in Mexia, TX, invites experienced Registered Nurses with a solid background in surgical procedures to support patient care in a hospital environment. This role is a contract position ideally suited for RNs seeking a structured schedule with some flexibility for on-call duties. Responsibilities: Administer medication, collect specimens, and perform clinical treatments as outlined in the patient care plans. Document all care provided and monitor patient conditions, communicating changes to the healthcare team and family members. Assist patients with daily activities including hygiene, nutrition, mobility, and elimination. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to manage patient transfers, discharges, referrals, and address spiritual or psychosocial needs. Educate patients and families based on their specific learning needs, considering age, culture, and condition. Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients throughout their care. Qualifications and Experience: Hold an active Texas RN license. Minimum two years recent experience as an Operating Room RN. Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association. Proficient in surgery procedures and knowledgeable in operating Stryker VideoTowers used for laparoscopic procedures. Ability to respond within one hour for weekday and weekend on-call duties. Flexibility to float between two facilities if required. Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
