Job Description:
The AETC Systems Administrator III (Windows) provides technical
support for the engineering and maintenance of the
organization'ssystems infrastructure, including supporting the
design and implementation of hardware and software while monitoring
the performance ofdeployed systems. The position assists with
architectural documentation, Time Compliance Technical Order (TCTO)
documentation and validation, STIG compliance, status reports and
updates, and provides client level support to AETC instructors and
courses. The AETC Systems Administrator III (Windows) assists with
coordination amongst resources and stakeholders for the testing and
validation of system upgrades and modifications for new projects
and existing deployments. The position also supports configuration
and change managements processes; and ensures project/action plans,
updates/upgrade tasks, and potential issues are briefed to
appropriate stakeholders.As a dynamic systems integrator, SMS

training network servers and networking equipment for Microsoft
systems.Provide system administration and maintenance support to
AETC courses/classes.Provide research, documentation, and testing
of improved system architectures.Provide support of Blade
technologies in a virtualized environment.Provide support regarding
the integration and migration of Storage Area Network (SAN) and
Network Attached Storage (NAS) technologies.Assist with the design,
engineering, and implementation of new training networks at
government request including but not limited to:Assisting with
vulnerability assessment and patching in support of ATO/RMF
processesProvide insight and recommendations on best practices and
environmental limitations for implementationRequirements5 - 7 years
of progressively responsible network and system support with
experience in mid-to-large data center environments.Minimum of 5
years of hands-on experience in:Advanced networking concepts, VLAN,
trunking and port channelDemonstrated advanced diagnostics and
troubleshooting abilitiesDisaster Recovery - expertise in risk
reduction, Hot/Warm site DR architecture, high availability,
planning for disaster situationsKnowledge of data communications,
local-area networking, wide-area networking, routers, and
switchesNetwork (Layer 2, 3) LAN/WAN knowledge and
switches/routersThorough understanding of Internet Protocol (IP)
routing, switching, and the OSI model.Ability to coordinate
activities across multiple agencies while prioritizing
critical/high-priority taskings.Possess refined critical thinking
skills, should be a self-starter, and multi-task capable.Approach
work as diplomatic, adaptive to a dynamic environment, dependable
and reliable.Education: Bachelor's degree in related technical
discipline, or MIS related field is preferred but not
mandatory.Required Certifications: Security+ or equivalent at
start, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) - Server
2012 within 60 daysDesired Certifications: N/AClearance: Active DoD
Secret required with ability to upgrade to Top Secret clearance
