Description: The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
(PMHNP) is responsible for delivering high-quality,
patient-centered, comprehensive psychiatric care in a telemedicine
setting. You will triage patients via phone or video appointments,
and occasionally visit patients in person to provide medically
necessary care. You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams
to coordinate care, support treatment planning, and ensure the best
outcomes for patients with complex behavioral health needs. The
PMHNP will be a key player in ensuring that patients receive
timely, effective, and compassionate care, with a focus on
providing the best possible experience in a virtual healthcare
setting. Skills Required: Strong background in psychiatric care,
with the ability to manage complex cases involving behavioral
health, social, and physical needs. Comfortable and skilled in
delivering care through telemedicine platforms, ensuring effective
communication and a positive patient experience. Ability to provide
compassionate care while addressing the unique needs of each
patient, including medication management and treatment
coordination. Works effectively with interdisciplinary teams to
develop and implement treatment plans, and coordinates care across
various providers. Ability to independently assess and address
challenges in patient care, reaching out for support when
necessary. Knowledge of clinical documentation standards for
billing and risk adjustment, with attention to detail in
record-keeping. Experience with therapeutic interventions such as
Motivational Interviewing (MI), trauma-informed care, and

Competencies: Clinical Knowledge and Skills: In-depth understanding
of psychiatric care and mental health, with the ability to apply
evidence-based practices in a telehealth setting. Telemedicine
Communication: Skilled at delivering care via virtual platforms,
ensuring a high standard of patient engagement and communication.
Cultural Competence: Ability to work with patients from diverse
backgrounds, ensuring sensitivity to cultural and social factors
that may impact care. Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking:
Demonstrates strong clinical judgment and decision-making in
complex cases, providing appropriate care in a timely manner.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Experience working with a variety
of healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care for
patients with complex health needs. Regulatory Knowledge:
Familiarity with clinical documentation, billing standards, and
risk adjustment requirements in a healthcare setting. Multi-State
Licensure: Willingness to become licensed in multiple states,
ensuring the ability to provide care across various jurisdictions.
